medium grain

The effect is created using Beton Marmo decorative ecological mineral plaster of medium grain which gives the surface a raw depth and a finishing touch. Recommended for indoor and outdoor use, produces an interesting satin (proper preservation with Lumicca Incolore – dilute with approx. 100% H2O) or matt surface (depending on your needs and place: no preservation or dilute with approx. 150% H2OLumicca Incolore). When applied to surfaces exposed to dirt or outdoors, it must be properly preserved – with Lumicca Incolore. The texture can be more explicit, with larger pores and colour gradients, or less explicit, for those who wish to create fashionable "concrete" texture. The natural production cycle and components used as well as the alkaline pH provide excellent removal of moisture from the walls in order to prevent fungi, moulds, and other micro-organisms from growing. Highly resistant to washing and scrubbing, easy to maintain. The plaster is perfect for finishing walls, especially those exposed to dirt and mechanical damage. Adds an original and luxurious touch to your house or office. Enabling you to create your space with texture as you wish, it meets the high requirements of a professional product. Complements a perfect design in modern and classical interiors (residential and public), and industrial interiors. Goes well with natural materials, such as wood, ceramics, glass, stone, and metal. The product is made from natural components.

What is important, this effect can be applied directly to cement-lime plasters and machine-applied plaster, they do not require application of gypsum putty and creating perfectly even surfaces. Used in all kind of interiors and outdoor surfaces, providing a fashionable textured "concrete look". Recommended for indoor and outdoor applications:

  • renovation of old buildings that requires a dehumidification system,
  • maintenance and restoration works including smoothing plaster and old paint,
  • new houses in accordance with the criteria of "Eco-Friendly, Green Construction".

Thanks to its resistance to impact and abrasion, and good washability, recommended for surfaces exposed to dirt and mechanical damage, all kinds of busy public utility places, such as halls, corridors, passageways, restaurants, dining rooms, bars, kitchens, living rooms, fireplaces, garages, warehouses, storage rooms, as well as in places where children and animals are present. Due to its high permeability, natural origin, alkalinity (prevents moulds, fungi, and micro-organisms from growing), and washability, it is recommended for areas for sensitive groups of people (ill or elderly people, children) and for the following interiors: kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, boiler rooms, drying rooms, restaurants, bars, public utility places such as hospitals, health centres, outpatient clinics, sanatoriums, schools, preschools, nursery schools, nursing homes, hospices, orphanages, spas, rooms for storing and processing food, etc.

Recommended for plasters on various substrates, such as:

  • variable composition plasters (cement, lime, mixture),
  • concrete and cement,
  • gypsum-carton boards, etc.

all kinds of prestigious locations, i.e. conference rooms, concert halls, theatres, cinemas, etc., in private interiors (houses, blocks of flats, suites) and public utility interiors (walls, gypsum-carton boards, rusticated surfaces, slanted and horizontal ceilings), in rooms where a modern, classical, or industrial look is desired. Restaurants, hotels, educational and cultural facilities (theatres, cinemas, schools, preschools, nursery schools), health care facilities (hospitals, health centres, surgeries, spas, nursing homes), industrial facilities, offices, storage rooms, etc.

All kinds of ECORSON concretes are eco-friendly and manufactured using natural components. The through-coloured plaster provides long-lasting colour durability. Easy to apply. Creates a water vapour permeable coating (enabling the walls to "breathe"), facilitating removal of moisture from the walls and maintaining an appropriate microclimate. Additionally, its alkalinity prevents fungi, moulds, and other micro-organisms from growing. All concrete effects by Ecorson go well with raw wood, metal, stone, and glass and can be used in designing to the effect of wooden boards, formwork or expansion.

Three versions of concrete with different grain and final texture are available. Can be used both indoors and outdoors after preservation. We recommend preserving the concretes according to the needs with the following products in a system:

Lumicca Incolore – to protect a product in a system – always.
Lumicca Base – to create or emphasise colour transitions, can be used to create a satin finish where the afterglow depends on the smoothness.
Lumicca Incolore/Silomal – when we need to protect outdoor surfaces.

  • high water vapour permeability,
  • EXCELLENT resistance to impact,
  • durable and practical, easy to apply,
  • resistant to scrubbing – used in a system,
  • very good adhesiveness to various substrates,
  • for indoor and outdoor use, durable colour,
  • provides good filling properties, used to level the surface,
  • can create matt, slightly glossy, and satin finish,
  • natural product of alkaline pH, prevents fungi, moulds, and other micro-organisms from growing,
  • additional effects (colour transitions) can be created on this plaster, e.g. white tarnish or intense pattern, wiping light surfaces with Jeans White, and dark surfaces with Jeans Grey or Lumicca Base.

When selecting colours for a given interior, several factors must be taken into account as they affect our perception of the colours, aesthetics, and our mood. The swatches and the catalogues available on the market are for illustration purposes only, frequently in the form of a photography of the colour printed on single quality paper (glossy or matt) and do not represent the actual perception of the final effect. ECORSON produces original colour and texture samples of individual products to make the choice easier. Keep in mind that small, ready colours or textures in swatches may slightly differ visually from final effects in particular interiors. If you lack colour intuition, we recommend making a larger sample or hiring a Designer or Decorator who can suggest individual and appropriate choices. Keep in mind that the colour on a small swatch (even an original one) may look different on a large surface due to a number of factors such as other nearby colours that dominate the room (barely visible colour of glass panes, floor, furniture, etc.), the amount of sunlight and the time of day, direction, the type of artificial light (warm or cold, scattered or beam), and distribution of the colour. The same rule applies while selecting colours and painting outdoors as we are close to nature and affected by it. All these factors saturate the walls with their colours, tones, and shades (and vice versa), interfuse, and create collages, often beautiful. It must be taken into consideration when selecting colours. Our perception of colours is significantly affected by light. We do not recommend applying two different colours or products on corners as the colour should be determined by the shape. Have fun with colours and textures, remember that they can change a lot in our interiors, for example affect the perception of size and distance, add warmth and cosiness, or create a cold and fresh appearance. The colour and the texture may cause desired feelings and affect our mood. As it is our passion, we wish to share it with you. ECORSON team.

General application principles

All work on a given substrate should be performed and finished with products from the same production batch, with the same serial number, as there may be slight differences in the base that may affect the final colour and effect. The instructions to perform the work in a professional manner are based on basic occupational health and safety rules, and guidelines described in the following sheets: technical, application system, adapting work to conditions (i.e. temperature, humidity, drafts, etc.), and proper surface preparation.

Before we begin painting, it is very important to verify the technical condition of the substrate and follow the guidelines related to its proper preparation. The substrate should be: stable, dry, cleaned, all cavities should be filled and any fungi should be removed if necessary. Dust must be removed from the surface, as well as any built up dirt and grease. If the surface does not meet the requirements, old layers of paint, which should adhere to the substrate well and endure the adhesiveness of the new finish, must be removed mechanically. When working on mineral textures that have never been painted, ensure they are clean and free of defects (new plasters should be painted after 3-4 weeks of stabilisation or after the time indicated by the producer of the plaster, putty, filler, etc.)

In order to achieve a level and homogeneous surface on a given substrate, the work should be performed by a single person using the same tools, with a short application time (without pauses) for each coat so the whole wall may be covered with wet paint.

The final effect depends on the user's skills, tools, and the amount of product applied. Therefore, the efficiency, samples, and other parameters presented here are illustrative and approximate only, calculated based on several years of experience and research, applicable to optimal climatic conditions (approx. +23°C and 65% humidity). The parameters may change in other conditions. However, due to a great variety of substrates and application conditions, it is necessary to verify the product and its effectiveness by testing it individually under given conditions.

If the surface requires washing, the whole wall must be washed with similar motions and using the same tools and liquids. Wash the tools with water immediately after use. ECORSON is not responsible for non-intended use of the product and uses inconsistent with the principles, also when used beyond our reasonable control.
